It's a very dark dark game. Love the feeling of when a silent one appears. Sends creepy chills down the spine. The survival aspects of the game are amazing, however the sub levels seem to be a bit tricky. Using do long runs out looking for supplies, but never make it back due to sub levels falling. Hands down it's a great game, and a steal of a deal at $5. Would recommend it to any looking for a fun/dark/horror surivival alien based video game.. The game sucks.. This game has a very dark and tense atmosphere, it is very creepy and obvious is the impact of H. P. Lovecraft , which was the first reason to buy it . The story is unclear , even you are not sure what are you are doing, you do not know what your goal is, which only adds to the tension and unease that the game has . Action is well done , sounds are excellent , although the overall impression is that the game needs finishing and polishing. Finally, I would recommend this game to all fans of horror .. I like that perspective.The game had a rough start, but many of the bugs have been addressed and it's now playable. It makes me feel really good the dev team listened and is now working on making a good game.The game is kinda eerie. I'm not entirely sure what I'm supposed to do and I haven't made it past the first level. if there are levels.From what I can figure out is that you start out stranded on a dark planet. Your ship is out of fuel so you have to collect meteorite fragments to make fuel. You also need to collect c-matter to make into food, ammo, and some other stuff.You need the ammo because there are aliens that try to kill you --- actually, they're the natives and you play the alien. Anyway, they are creepy looking. The sound and music is well done.Now that I've seen the dev team fixing things up and cotinuing to improve their work I think this game is going to just get better. With that said, the only thing Lovecraftian about it (in the 8 minutes I played it) was the futility of trying to kill the intruders. Simply put, my shotgun didn't work.While I like the premise, its delivery needs some work. The flashlight nees some work; the weapons need to fire; the voice acting needs better pacing. The graphics remind more of ca. 2000 CE blockiness. Still, I'm not returning it (I did get it on sale, so if it is never improved upon, then I'm not out much money). Do I recommend it? In its current state, no. However, I'll come back in a few months and check it again.. I like the premise of this game. You are an astronaut marooned on a pitch-black planet. While you are merely trying to escape, the planet'a denizens have another idea. You must gather survival supplies and fuel for your ship to take off. The atmosphere and enemies reflect a truly Lovecraftian malevolence, and you are given a sense of urgency and desperation. However, that's where the game stops being a spooky thriller and starts becoming frustrating. If there were a better save system, more places to re-arm and resupply, and more environments to explore, it would be better. But it feels like you are going in circles and accomplishing nothing.. I'm really enjoying this game. Haven't escaped yet, but enjoying trying/failing/re-trying.Pros- Atmosphere: very dark, dark, and twilight -- love the combination of Cthulhu and Plato (made me actually go read up a bit on some of Plato's works)- Monster design and avoidance/teleport mechanic- Sound effects: creepy, appropriate for the Lovecraft/Cthulhu mythos that it's partly based on- Cool graphics, not for being high end but for being appropriate to the story and creepy. Reminiscent of some of the original black and white Twilight Zone episodes (the ones on alien planets or in space)- So far the dev has been doing a lot of great updatesNon-spoiler tips- Read the hints at the beginning of the game on the giant white boards (look all the way around before selecting New/Load)- Remember that you can save (don't have to just let things get harder with each fail)- The game is meant to be vague and not have detailed instructions.. There is literally, nothing to see
